What is Winning ad?

A winning ad is an ad that has kept running profitably, the one an advertiser keeps paying for after switching off the variations that lost money. From outside the advertiser's account, the public signal is longevity in the Meta Ad Library, which shows the date each active ad started. An ad that has run for months, or a concept a brand has copied into many versions, is probably a winner.

The signal is an inference. Meta publishes no spend or results for ordinary commercial ads, a start date does not show how much budget an ad gets today, and an advertiser can leave a weak ad running by mistake. Practitioners treat longevity as a strong hint and confirm it with their own tests.
