What is Creative diversity?

Creative diversity is the range of genuinely different ads an advertiser runs at the same time. Meta calls the practice creative diversification and describes it as creating ads with different themes, messages and visuals to reach different customers. Ads differ meaningfully when they change the concept, the message, the format, the persona they speak to or the visual style, rather than a button colour or a single word.

Meta says that when creative is too similar, its system may not recognise the ads as different and may deliver them to the same audiences, which limits reach. Practitioners often describe this as Meta grouping near-identical ads under one Entity ID, but Meta has not published that term or any similarity threshold.
