What is CPC (Cost per click)?

CPC, or cost per click, is the average amount an advertiser spends for each click on an ad. Meta's main version is CPC (cost per link click), calculated as amount spent divided by link clicks. A link click is a click, swipe or other gesture on a link in the ad that leads to a destination the advertiser chose, on or off Meta technologies. CPC shows what a visit costs, not whether the visit led to a sale.
