What is Ad remake?
An ad remake is a new ad built on the structure of a proven ad, usually a winning ad found in the Meta Ad Library. It keeps the hook type, layout and format and replaces every asset with the advertiser's own, including product photos, copy, colours, logo, reviews and results. Copyright protects an ad's specific photos and words, not its idea or general layout, which is why the assets must change.
A remake turns into a copy when it reuses the original's assets or looks close enough that shoppers could mistake it for the competitor's ad. Remake tools such as Mockingbird automate the process. They rebuild a reference ad's structure with a brand's own product photos, copy and colours.
