The ad it started from, and the remake

The library ad: Sensitive Content. Warning: Viewer may overcome their self-diagnosed attention and neurodivergence issues.
The library ad, a contrarian info product ad
Virlo's remake: Sensitive Content. Warning: Viewer may stop duct-taping 12 tabs together and actually ship breakout content.
Virlo's remake, the ad that ran

The original is styled as a platform content warning. Virlo kept that format and the hook, and rewrote the warning for its own customers: "Warning: Viewer may stop duct-taping 12 tabs together and actually ship breakout content."

The ad ran with the primary text "Warning: viewers may stop duct-taping 12 tabs together and actually start shipping breakout content.", the headline "You Might Actually Start Shipping" and a Sign up button.

How it was made

  1. Virlo added its brand to Mockingbird: website, colours, screenshots as product photos and its voice profile.
  2. It picked the contrarian "sensitive content" ad from the library.
  3. It pressed remake on 13 July 2026 and downloaded the finished 4:5 ad.
  4. It uploaded the ad to Meta Ads Manager and ran it from 15 July 2026.

Why remaking a structure is allowed while copying assets is not is covered in Can you copy a competitor's ad?, and how to spot ads worth remaking in the guide to winning Meta ads.

Frequently asked questions

What ad did Virlo remake?
A library ad styled as a content warning: "Sensitive Content. Warning: Viewer may overcome their self-diagnosed attention and neurodivergence issues." It is an info product ad with a contrarian hook. Virlo kept the warning format and rewrote the line for its own audience.
How were the sign-ups measured?
With the Trial Start conversion event in Meta Ads Manager, under the ad account's attribution setting. The figures are Meta's own reporting for the ad, not a separate analytics tool.
Could another brand use the same ad?
The format, yes: a warning-label hook works for any product with a problem worth naming. Mockingbird rebuilds the layout and hook with your own product, copy and colours, and never reuses the original ad's assets.

Disclosure: Virlo is co-founded by Deniz Sancar, who also founded Mockingbird. The figures are Virlo's own, from its Meta Ads Manager account.
